SharePoint site collection usage comparison
This page is for SharePoint Administrators who want a quick way to compare their SharePoint site collection usage statistics with other organisations. Note: Use this page to measure Site Collection usage only - not Site usage.

Simply complete the fields on the right and click Submit. You can view responses so far on the results pageAll data submitted is anonymous.

On the results page you can calculate & then compare:

  • the average number of requests per day per distinct user
  • the average number of requests per day per employee
  • the number of distinct users as a percentage of your overall employees
  • results by industry
  • results by head office location

Note: You must enable usage analytics in SharePoint before you can monitor usage data. See Enable usage reporting for more information.

Enter the approximate number of employees in your organisation that have access to the SharePoint Site Collection that you want to measure (in most cases this will be all employees).

Enter the Average requests per day over the last 30 days. You can find this information by selecting Site Settings -> Site Collection Administration -> Site collection usage reports.

Enter the Number of distinct users over the past 30 days. You can find this information by selecting Site Settings -> Site Collection Administration -> Site collection usage reports.
